Amielle snickered. "Awww, baby brother you're so cute. You, bluerider, take good care of him. Don't let Forsooth's rising decide things for you."
S'rian's eyes narrowed. "You're worse than Mother and her group of little singers-to-be," he hissed. "Just because I'm a rider too, now doesn't mean you get to tell me what to do." He moved a little closer to K'eld, looming protectively.

K'eld didn't like the tone Amielle used while calling him bluerider. In fact, it set off little triggers within him that caused Jeth to bugle a warning outside the caverns. Enough, K'eld quickly quieted his dragon, glaring daggers at Amielle. Maybe meeting the rest of S'rian's family wouldn't be the best thing after all. "If S'rian feels he needs my help, he only has to ask. Both Jeth and I are more than willing to help him," he stated toward Amielle's comment about him taking care of S'rian. Of course he would have loved to take care of S'rian, keep him safe, but in order for S'rian to survive, he needed to stand on his two feet. Though, K'eld would always be behind him, ready to catch him if he needed him. [/blockquote]

Lez looked away from Ali and decided to reply, "Well,, I don't know yet, maybe just fly for a while now, but i do fear the rise, that is for sure." She looked first at him and then the others in the room, would it be as bad as the few she had wistnessed.....

"Flying around sounds like it would be pretty cool. And yeah, I have to completely, 100% agree with you about the rise part. Not looking forward to that at all." And'r replied, "In fact I still have to find a way to get around certain 'complication' with it to.... Anyway, do you plan on flying any where specific?"

((RRAAAWWWRRR!!! I'm sorry guys, I WILL hand you Azelle and Akri! This is going to be fail, though...sorry))
The graduation. Akri smiled slightly as she mounted Lunith. She'd been Weyrwoman for two Turns now, and one set of Weyrlings had graduated already into full riders; now the second set - her own Lunith's children - were doing so as well. It made it even more special, the dragonets - dragons, now - being her Violets' clutch, and she knew that their riders woulds make valued additions to Black Obsidian Weyr's force.
Something did bother her, however; this was the last set of Weyrlings. There had been no clutches since Lunith's, so no new Weyrlings were ready to take the place of the old ones, nor would any be in the foreseeable future. This might not be a problem in other circumstances, but Black Obsidian was still a small Weyr compared to many, and made smaller by the recent disappearances of several riders - transfers, betweens...the reason mattered not. The point was, they were gone, which was not a good thing. And the worst part of all was that Azeril and her gold Aurth were no longer at Black Obsidian. Had they stayed, Azeril would be Junior Weyrwoman right now - and Senior Weyrwoman when Aurth Rose. But it was not to be. Instead, there were no Queens at Black Obsidian Weyr.
But Akri was reassured by the presence of Ali and Valexith; they were a Violet pair, fully capable of taking the position of Junior Weyrwoman. Violets and their riders were just as good at Gold pairs at leading, of course; Akri had proved that in the past two Turns, and sometime in the future so would Ali. Black Obsidian Weyr had enough Queenriders for the moment - it was that it would take this much longer for there to be a clutch on the sands, since Aurth was gone.
Ah, well. They would see what happened, would that not? And Akri reminded herself that this was a happy occasion, not a time for brooding. Lunith landed in the Weyrbowl amidst all the other congregating dragons, and Akri slipped off, heading for the Lower Caverns. She saw that most of the Weyrlings were already present; good. Spotting Weyrlingmaster Da'im speaking with Onyxrider O'sin, she walked swiftly over to them.
"Greetings, Onyxrider O'sin, Weyrlingmaster Da'im," she greeted both of them, nodding to each, before looking at Da'im questioningly. "Shall we start the ceremony?"
Emberyth's isn't here yet, Akri, Lunith pointed out, noticing the absence of the female Onyx. Odd, that, an Onyx being female - Azelle called her Ash - odd, but she was a good dragon. Good rider, too.
"Ah, of course - we must wait for Weyrlingmaster Assistant Azelle." Akri was rather fond of Azelle, but some impatience could be seen in her dark eyes at having to wait.
A few moments later grey-speckled black wings filled the sky, and Emberyth landed beside Lunith. Our apologies for our tardiness, she told Lunith, who nodded and informed Akri that they had arrived.
"Oh, good, here she comes," the Weyrwoman observed, and a few moments later the Weyrlingmaster's Assistant's pale form had appeared in the entrance, and Akri saw Azelle looking around for Da'im. She nodded to the younger rider, catching her eye, and Azelle moved forward to them gratefull. "Sorry for being late," she apologized, nodding to the group. "Couldn't find the shoulder knots for the Weyrlings...here they are, Da'im." She produced the new shoulder-knots made for the riders-today from a pocket, showing them to the Weyrlingmaster. "Are we ready to start?"
((hope the shoulder-knot thing was okay, Ice...I had to think opf why she could have been late.))

((hope nobody minds the double-posting. Want to get out another post for Ay'en and L'rien. Apologies for the wait, Amie and Book.)) Quentifith snorted in amusement at his large blue brother as Heiyath flew a loop around him, but was really just as excited. Something that was almost a snicker came out of his muzzle at the thought of bossing Neboth around. You're right, Heiyath! We could bounce at her and she couldn't do anything about it! Well, that was a kind of figurative phrase now - he didn't actually 'bounce' at Neboth much anymore, because that wasn't very grown-dragon-like, and anyway, it annoyed L'rien when it shook the ground. But Quentifith still used the term to mean that they could do whatever they wanted to her. And we can boss her around and she can't do anything about it and you can do it too if you're with me because I'll defend you! His faceted eyes whirled with mischief as he imagined it. L'rien grinned at D'lain, snickering when the younger rider glomped on him; the kid seemed to act just as young as he had when they'd first met! Then again, L'rien probably did too... "I know you'll be a good rider, D'lain," he agreed, to get the bluerider to shut up - but he meant it, too. D'lain certainly had the enthusiasm - and, well...the rest would come later! ~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~|~| Ay'en was pleased to see that Es'bel didn't mind his presence - or he didn't seem to, since the tealrider was grinning back at him. Es'bel commented that weyrlinghood had gone by quickly, laughing a bit as he did so, and Ay'en nodded in agreement; he thought so, too. He remembered the day he'd Impressed Zynsith as if it was yesterday, and in fact the entirety of his weyrlinghood seemed that way as well. Es'bel asked him what the first thing he wanted to do as a rider was, and the bluerider opened his mouth to answer, but was cut off by the arrival of R'din. "Es'bel, Ay'en, I hear congratulations are in order."Ay'en looked up at the older tealrider and smiled at him, though he did wish he could have had a bit of time to talk to Es'bel before they were interrupted. He listened to R'din explain the bubbly pies he had brought, and his smile widened when R'dis said L'san had made a chocolate one special for the newest tealrider; he wasn't surprised Es'bel liked chocolate. He accepted his with a nod of thanks, slightly amused by R'din's description of chocolate as 'bland'. "Thanks a lot, R'din," he said, referring to both the treat and the congratulations. Next R'din turned to Es'bel, and asked if Neboth had started teaching Ileyvith how to boss him around yet. Privately Ay'en hoped not; Ileyvith had a rather different personality than R'din's bossy teal, and Ay'en thought she should keep it. He nodded slowly when R'din told him he was lucky to have a quiet blue. "I am lucky to have him," he agreed quietly, his smile softening at the thought of Zynsith. However, he was a bit distracted by the way R'din's hands lingered on his shoulders - for some reason it made him slightly uncomfortable, and he blinked ,preferring to look back at Es'bel than dwell on it. He remembered his bubbly pie and bit into it, concentrating on its juicy taste for a moment, listening as Es'bel retorted with a roll of his brown eyes that the two teals had probably been gossiping about males and Flights. The change of topic that had occured made Ay'en glance swiftly back up at Es'bel, especially when the colorful tealrider turned to him, suggesting that they could pull Zynsith out of his shell. "He isn't as bad as he used to be," Ay'en pointed out, his tone reasonable rather than defensive. For some reason the subject of Flights - particularly Ileyvith's Flight - had his eyes darkening slightly in thought - it wasn't something he'd really thought about very much, even after the conversation they'd had not long ago about Flights. It made him look at Es'bel again, and he mused: "I wonder who will Fly first, Neboth of Ileyvith...?" For some reason, he rather hoped for the latter...

"Neboth," R'din answered without hesitation. "She's older. The females from Cometh's clutch are all going to rise before those from Lunith's. Except maybe the greens, because greens rise early." He shrugged. "But Faranth only knows. Neb hasn't shown any signs of being proddy yet. Don't worry, though," he smiled slyly. "Your Zynsith might not catch Neb and he has a good chance with Ileyvith!"
((short, but I have to dash. I'll post more later))

Ay'en nodded; he knew that R'din's logic made good sense. Neboth was older; she probably would Rise sooner. He blinked and blushed slightly when R'din pointed out that Zynsith might not catch Neboth, and he had a 'good chance with Ileyvith'. What did that mean? Shooting a startled glance at Es'bel, he muttered, "I wasn't..."
He trailed off. Why was this making him flustered? He didn't...there was no reason for R'din to think...Ay'en blushed again, looking away. He didn't get this. He didn't know why he was getting flustered over R'din had said...or why he was protesting when part of him hoped the tealrider was right...
(sorry for fail >.< lol...trust R'din come and make everything confusing for Ay'en ^_^ And he was having such a good time with Es'bel, too...*grins evilly*))

R'din snickered into his bubbly pie. L'san thwapped him, making the tealrider laugh even more.
"Don't let him tease you, Ay'en," the creamrider said. "He just thinks that everything is about sex."
"It is. That and flying and occasionally fighting thread," R'din chuckled.
**
D'lain beamed up at L'rien like a little kid. "You think? really? Ri says I'm still too silly. But I know you'll make a good rider!" He cuddled the brownrider happily.
You two act like hatchlings Neboth said, trying to sound disgusted, although she still managed to sound rather fond of them. I can still outfly you both, if I want my peace, I can leave you in the dust![/color]

(OCC:Its fine i think it was a great idea to put them in there like that) Ali and Violet Valexith
Mine, After all of this we should make plans to explore the area around this weyr and possibly else where if Akri will let us. The violet crooned before turning into a growl. Answer them we will talk later about this. The violet snorted before looking at the others and seeing another violet along with the strange ash. Hello mother, Emberyth the young violet stated with a hint on niceness
Ali turned her head towards Lez and the brown six foot tall, brown hair boy. "I'm sorry, Valixeth was talking to me." She blushed as she spoke with them. "I don't mind if you sit here." She regained her poster and smiled as best as she could. Her eyes were caught looking into his such a mixture of blue green and gray that was beautiful and compelling. She was not sure of what to make of the boy her age. She looked down trying not to look shameful.
Da'im and Brown Morth.
Da'im listened to the talk around him not really listening to it thinking about how not one of the clutchers had risen and that they needed one desperately. He was shaken out of his trans when Akri talked to him. He noded slowly and smiled at the ash rider. "You'll get faster at finding stuff when you have been here a while longer and thank you."
Morth let out a bellow like none other to quiet the people inside for his rider. His rider give a quick thanks before holding out his arm to Akri. Morth sighed softly before laying his head down on his foreleg and closed his eye lids to wait for his rider. He had wished he could have stay in his cave where he was atleast comfortable.
"Shall we???" the brown rider asked while looking at the beautiful violet rider. He stood there wondering if maybe one of the others might offer an arm to the Ash rider or not then again it was not his business.

"Neboth is older, but Ileyvith may surprise us yet," Es'bel said good-naturedly. He raised an eyebrow as R'din continued, saying that Zynsith might have a chance with his Teal. "You aren't saying that Ileyvith is easier to catch, are you? Or that Zynsith isn't that talented? Either way, it's not very nice," he said, smirking and shaking his head at R'din.

"I'm saying that Ileyvith isn't as tempermental nd picky as Neb," he said, laughing. "And that Ileyvith likes Zyn more than Neb does. I think Neb's view of blues has been contaminated by Heiyath."

"Thats fine, I can Zone too when I'm talking with Taryshth sometimes." And'r said smiling light heartedly, in an attempt to lighten the mood and sort of chear her up some or something. "Thanks for letting me sit here" And'r commented sitting across from Lez and Ali. His eyes locked with Ali's for a moment, her eyes were a pretty basically chocolaty brown color and seemed to shine with innocence/trustworthyness and a inner strenght; he liked this about her and basicly imediatly felt more comfortable around her; he flet that he could count on her and trust her. Her eyes also seemed to have a deepth to them he could get lost in.... And'r glanced away a little embarassed at the same instant as Ali looked down. After a few second of silence he decided to break it and asked, "So, Ali what do you plan on doing now that your a rider?"

Ali and Violet Valexith
Ali looked back up at the handsome boy before her. "Umm I guess i never really thought about it really. I mean I guessed I'd become junior weyrwoman but i suppose that could change and all if someone transfers or something." She said shyly lowering her eyes to the table. This boy gave her confused thoughts and feelings. "I suppose I could try to find out why none of our queens are laying any eggs but i think i would not get an answer even if I tried." She said this part in an almost kind of whispered. After a couple of seconds to think on that she then asked without raising her head. "Have you planned anything And'r???"
Ali couldn't be helped but drawn back to his eyes. His face was handsome he was handsome alround but she didn't not think she could bring herself to say so infront of lots of people. It wasn't like she could be falling in love with him anyways he could be a green rider for all she knew though she had not really remembered who rode who.

((I like the "he could be a green rider for all she knew" part; nice touch there))
"Hey, don't doubt yourself. I'm sure that you'd do a great job, or at least put forth a great effort if you tried. And your right one of the queens have not been lying eggs recently... I hadn't really noticed that... SEE, your already noticing and picking up on problems around the weyr, at this rate you'll make a great junior weyrwoman! But yeah... anyway; I truthfully haven't done much thinking ahead about it either. I guess they'll... or well in this case probably you, weyrwoman Akri, and Weyrleader Z'dyn will assign me something. If not or well if I'm able I might want to go and see if I can find out what happened to my mother and her group if there's no weyr bussiness for me to do." And'r commented on what she had said and answered her question.
And'r couldn't help but notice the way her red hair caught the light and basicly shone like fire; framing her very pretty- no beautiful face.. in fact she was one of the most beautiful poeple And'r had ever layed eyes on... why was he just noticing all this now? He had been a candidate and then a weyrling with her for a few years now... then again the higher ranking riders did stick to themselves at times... And'r ended up being drawn back into the deepths of her brown eyes, just as she was to his.
((now would be the perfect time for Lez to just throw something into this.))
