And'r had been looking all over the wyer for weyrwoman Akri. Why is it so hard to find just one person in this weyr???
Because its a big place mine.
I know, I know
And'r was searching for Weyrwoman Akri to ask her about what she thought of him and Arel along with a few others ptting on a show for the weyr.
You should take a break mine, go down and have a snack and drink some of that hot chocolate that you like; though I still don't get why you don't just drink kalh like the others
cause its bitter, I guess that is a good idea..... wait... wow I'm an idiot......
YOUR NOY AN IDIOT MINE, DON"T SAY SUCH THINGS, YOUR VERY SMART WHEN YOU TRY
ok fine, I'm oblivious then
yes mine, that you are. very oblivous
anyway, Taryshth, can you ask Lunith were I can find weyr women Akri?
Taryshth snorted in a dragons form of laughter at his request.
Mine has been running all around the weyr when you could of just asked me this from the beginning, silly mine, you really are oblivious.
Yeah I know, just ask Lunith if Akri can meet me down in the lower caverns if She's not busy at the moment.
ok mine, I'll do that for you!
Amazing and beautiful mother Lunith, whould you mind asking yours to come to the lower caverns if she's not busy. Mine has something to ask her.[/color]
And'r went down to the lower caverns, grabbed his snack and waited for the weyrwoman to show up.

Akri tapped her stylus against the surface of the desk absently, listening to its monotonic ring. They were in a time of peace, and that was good - to the average Weyrgoer it might seem they had very few worries - but to her no such luxury was granted. She knew all too well of the problems - if not present, then surely coming.
Thread. They were lucky enough to live in the peacetime, in the Interval, but it would end not too far from now, she knew. Everyone else could bask in the joys of the moment, but as Weyrwoman she had to look to the future, and plan. Thread would come, and probably in her lifetime. And they had to be prepared for it.
The fact was, Black Obsidian Weyr wasn't prepared. Our force alone is, to face facts, deplorable. She had the list of Wings spread in front of her, and did not like what she saw. So few....even with Lunith's children all grown up and in the force, Black Obsidian Weyr had too few battle-ready riders. They'd never stand against a Threadfall. True, over the Turns till it did come, they'd no doubt be able to bring their population up, but it was still something they needed to moniter, and closely. If they did not....Well, they'd find themselves completely unprepared when Thread did come.
And that couldn't be allowed to happen.
The Violetrider sighed, glancing out of her Weyr, from which she had a clear view of the Star Stones, and, within them, the Eyerock. The sky around it was a pale, clear blue; right now, no baleful red glow hung threateningly on the horizon. But it was only a matter of time.
What they needed was a clutch. A nice, big clutch that held Black Obsidian Weyr's future. But for that a clutching female needed to Rise, and it didn't look like that would happen anytime too soon. Lunith wasn't due to Rise for a while, and while Valexith could now, it was unlikely she would for a while yet. They needed a Flight; they needed a clutch. They didn't have one.
She set aside the Wing listing, and glanced at the paper under it - candidates. They had so few. Of course, there wasn't much need for them until a female had Flown, but still. Having so few seemed like a bad idea anyway. She made a mental note to send out a few Searchriders for a run or two in the future.
Lunith's voice broke gently into her thoughts. Akri, green Taryshth asks that, if you are not busy, you meet her And'r in the Lower Caverns.
Akri looked towards her Violet, spread out on their ledge. Did she say why? The dragon's negative made the Weyrwoman wonder, but as she really wasn't busy - just looking over things and thinking about the future, really - she could see no harm in seeing what Greenrider And'r wanted. Tell her I'll be there in a moment.
Lunith nodded, sending the reply back to Taryshth: Of course, young one. She is coming now. She felt a flash of pride, as she always did whenever corresponding with one of her children; they had come to far, she was so proud of them.
Akri stood up, and made her way down to thhe Lower Caverns with a nod of farewell to Lunith. She wondered idly what And'r wanted of her; possibilities ran through her mind and, one by one, she dismissed them as unlikely. The only way to know was to talk to him, and that would soon be done; within minutes she was striding into the Dining Cavern, lookingaround for the greenrider. She saw him at once - at this time of the day the hall was nearly empty - and made her way towards him. "Greenrider And'r," she acknowledged with a nod. "What would you ask of me?"
