O'sin of Onyx Svarth From beside the lake, O'sin stood, looking up at the sky, his body relaxing as the rolling thunder got closer. Spring was in the air, but with the Spring air, came the showers and today would be no different, though there looked like there would be a chance that the showers would pass over Black Obsidian Weyr.
You seem distant, Svarth sent, as he lounged in the shallows of the lake. The Onyx dragon had his throat pressed against the shore of the lake, while his jaw rested on the opposite side of O'sin, looking back out over the water. His body was kind of turned at an angle, putting him in a comfortable position. What has drawn your mind from Black Obsidian Weyr, Mine? the dragon questioned his Bonded, even as he kept his swirling orbs shut. Breathing deeply through his nostrils, O'sin sighed, placing a strong hand against Svarth's snout and lightly petting the damp hide of his dragon. Just thinking . . . . about home, he sent, the last word coming out as a curse rather than something of joy. O'sin's place of birth had been horrible, he still bore the scars of his father, and his mother had never bothered to take an interest him. Yet, here he stood, a well established Onyxrider, still longing for a place to go when he wanted to relax and actually be among humans. His mind suddenly turned sad, as it had shifted toward going to his mate's home, but found he hadn't even had time to question Panthea about her family. Slowly, Svarth lifted his head, wondering why his Rider was so longing for company, but never one to out-right question him, the Onyx did something interesting. Shutting down the link to his Rider, he called out to the other dragons of the Weyr. If any be willing . . . Mine is in a slump mood today. Would one be willing to bring their to the lake so that Mine will brighten up? It was unheard of, the mighty first born Onyx calling for help for his Rider . . . but it was for his Rider that he did such a thing.[/blockquote]

Up in their weyr Riveth and Lez were watching the rain fall. It was boaring and depresing. Sighing, she counted to ten before getting up. "Thats it. I can't take this anymore. We have got to do something." Riveth looked over to her and seemed to wait for the explanation. "Don't look at me like that. I'm board, your Board, and we've got to do something to have fun." Stalking back and forth, she couldn't think of anything to do on a rainy day. Mine, Onyx Svarth says his rider is having a bad day. maybe we can help him. Riveth's head was looking over the ledge, looking at the onyx. Besies, i haven't been around them for a while now. Her ententions weren't clear enough for Lez, but then lez didn't have to know. "I guess." She climbed on Riveth's back. "If it makes him feel any better, and i'm still a little worried." IT was true, but then all the weyr was still worried for him, he'd lost his mate and most of the clucth his bond had watched over. Though she hadn't been there, she knew from the others about what happened.
Flying out of the weyr, Riveth circled down until they were only a dragon's legth away from them. Dipping her head, Riveth crooned a hello. "Good day Onyxrider O'sin." She wanted to be a little formal, but didn't want to seem like she was sucking up. We come to give him company.

O'sin of Onyx Svarth When the sound of wingbeats echoed above their heads, both O'sin and Svarth looked up. SVARTH! O'sin suddenly growled within his mind, barely turning his head from the landing Crimsonrider and her dragon. Yet, he sighed as Lez approached him, speaking to him. "Crimsonrider Lez," he stated softly, dipping his head to the slightly younger female. "What brings you out to the lake at this hour?" he questioned, even though he thought he knew the reasoning.
Svarth actually lifted his head, eyes opened, as Riveth landed, yet there wasn't much that gave away His' fury at him calling out to another dragon. Thank you, pretty Crimson, Svarth sent to the Crimson as he pulled himself from the water. The storm was slowly rolling toward them and the water temperture was dropping. Plus, the rain had started and as he settled himself on shore, he stretched out a wing, covering O'sin and Lez as the two Riders began their conversation. [/blockquote]

She glanced back at Riveth, who for the most part could be drooling with the way she was eyeing the onyx. "We thought we'ed find something to do, and Riveth wanted some company." She wasn't vary good a lieing, but she was trying her hardest. Clearing her throat and silently, but nervously rubbing her hands together, she smiled at them both.
Hearing him, she pulled herself up to her full height making her sun catch what little light there was. Your Welcome. You are vary handsome yourself. she said sidling up next to him purring. Her own wings were pulled close to her side, letting Svarth have the pleasure of covering 'theirs'. I also thought Mine could use some company. Though it came out more sounding like she meant male company.

O'sin of Onyx Svarth Out of habit and knowing, O'sin lifted his arm as a burst of cold air flowed under Svarth's wing. Out from between came his little brown flitt, Skip, who happily landed on O'sin's shoulder and wrapped his tail around his Bonded's upper arm. Reaching up, the Onyxrider scratched his lazy brown's eye ridge, which set the firelizard on a purring fit. A soft chuckle broke from O'sin's mouth, as he listened to the young Crimsonrider try and explain why she had come down to the lake. "Svarth sent for company, didn't he? Your Riveth just happened to answer, which kind of meant you were going, or staying at your weyr. . . . Am I close?" he questioned, his voice soft, even, not angry in any way, just . . . . mellow.
However, the Onyxrider did not miss the way Lez's Crimson was looking at his Onyx, and this brought a wary tone to his thoughts. Watch out for this little Crimson, Svarth, he warned his dragon, who only crooned back at him. I am a full grown Onyx, first of my kind . . . . SHE is a full grown Crimson, Barely out of Weyrling Lessons, O'sin butted in causing Svarth to hiss in retort. Either way!!! If she is interested . . . we will just have to see where things go once she Rises, the Onyx ended, causing O'sin to grunt in response. Turning his attention back to the pretty Crimson, Svarth snorted and purred. Just Yours needed company? he purred. The Onyx purred as he slowly moved his head closer to Riveth's Or did you have another motive in thought when bring Yours from her weyr? he purred, tail lightly flicking around and tapping Riveth's in a playful manner. It was a rare show of playing by the Onyx, but he relized that Riveth made him feel younger than he had in the past couple of months. Since Horibath's passing . . . . O'sinMine . . . I believe female company is something we must have more of, the Onyx stated, having closed the link between himself and Riveth for a moment.[/blockquote]

Feeling like she'd just taken food and gotten slapped with a spoon, she looked at her feet for a moment. "Out of respect, i was in my weyr and Riveth heard Svarth ask for company, well thats what she said anyway." Inwardly she cringed away waiting for the asult that could possibly happen. She couldn't help but glance up at Riveth with a little irritation.
Almost like a cat, she purred and curled alittle closer to him. I need company too. I would also like a bath, but the rain seems to be halping. She glanced a little at her's and rumbled something close to a laugh. Her tail flickered back and forth as she playfuly swipped her claw at his tail. She didn't notice the sudden closed link, instead she was busy sneaking her own tail around to flick him in the chest.

O'sin of Onyx Svarth
Skip clicked at Lez, as if he truly believed her, which only caused O'sin to nod. "They tend to call for company when we outwardly show we don't want it, but inwardly need it. Then send company away when we show we want it, but don't need it," the Onyxrider stated, nodding, looking up at his dragon. He watched the Onyx as interest swirling orbs watched the Crimson that seemed to be toying with him. It filled O'sin with dread as Riveth seemed to be flirting with Svarth, yet he wouldn't stop it. Svarth was a big boy . . . Eight Turns now and knew what it meant to drag a female along.
Sighing, he turned his attention back to Lez and grinned. "You must think me rude, would you like to sit and talk?" he questioned, waving his hand toward Svarth's front claw. He just hoped the Onyx didn't have a rude streak running through him and move if she went to take a seat. Don't Svarth . . . Please? Since you asked so nicely, my pet, Svarth crooned, leaving his front claw where it was and lowering his neck to the point that he was actually guarding Riveth's Rider from her own dragon's playfullness. Be careful young one . . . the humans cannot take what we can, he stated, a playful note in his words, as he knew the Crimson would never hurt a human.[/blockquote]

If any be willing . . . Mine is in a slump mood today. Would one be willing to bring their to the lake so that Mine will brighten up?
Guess what mine? You get to give me another bath! Isn't that great?
Really Tary? I just gave you one yesterday, and its raining. Besides I was going to try to find Arel and practice some preforming stuff. Its been 2 years since I've had a preformer to hang out and practice with.
One can never have enough baths mine, and your candidate friend is busy with chores likely as not. So your giving me a bath! besides O'sin is down there depressed and Svarth asked if any riders were willing to come out and cheer him up. You don't want to leave him down and depressed do you.
And you didn't mention that before why?
I was going too, if were going to go down to the lake to cheer him up anyway I might as well get a bath while we're there!
alright, alright. Fine we'll go, just let me grab some stuff.
YAY! but don't take to long mine, hurry up!
And'r went through his stuff until he found his cloak, it was dark green with a design in blue of lines twisting in complex paterns on the back; it was unique, one of the old preformers back at the hold had made it for him. The he grabbed the stuff he would need to wash Taryshth... then he got some motivation and got out a set of four poles and a tarp and some ropes he had rigged together previously; it might come in useful.. infact he might want to grab some food too and maybe some cards....
OK, OK! Thats enough mine, no more stuff! you always think of things you might use, but you hardly ever end up needing them!
ok, but what about bringing a...
NO
alright, alright already, just swing by the kitchens on the way there.
Finally all preparations done Taryshth flew over to the lake. And'r could see that one Dragon had already come. Riveth....so that means that um..hm.. Lez is here! ok Riveth seemed to be snuggling pretty close to Svarth. And'r thought of turning back and leaving them in peice, but Taryshth would not be detered from a chance for a bath. And'r hoped off Taryshth and saw Lez and O'sin taking cover under Sarveth's wing, looks like they might not need his contraption after all.
He walked over to the two riders greeting them with, "Hey, so why did you have to give Taryshth an excuse to come to the lake?" And'r said smiling.
Taryshth splashed into the water Mine, Bath now!
no, you brought me here mainly to cheer up O'sin, so thats more important than a bath.
fine.....

Lez smiled and nodded. "that sounds about right. Riveth has a more natural talent for wanting to get me in trouble." She saw the look the two dragons were giving each other, and was a little sick, if she chose to rise soon, would the onxy chase, or would she be forced to pick another. Tuneing her mind away from that thought, she tried to look more plesent for O'sin sake, if he was in a bad mood, why not try to make a conversation.
Chuckling, she shook her head. "No ruder then anyone else i know." Glanceing at the two, she didn't quite think it was safe with Riveth and Svarth's flirting. "As long as they don't involve me." She narrowed her eyes at Riveth as she walked to Svarth's claw for a seat. I'm always careful with them. She flicked her tail and practicly slapped Svarth in the chest, she was teasing of course, she only ever was playful with Lez when she had to wake her up, or when she needed cheering up.
Wingbeats cause Both Lez and Riveths attention. Riveth glanced up and then focused back on Svarth, Lez looked and grinned. And'r was forthcoming like always. She looked at O'sin to see if he wanted to answer.

O'sin of Onyx Svarth
A chuckle escaped O'sin as he stood there, watching Riveth bat Svarth with her wing and Lez requested that they didn't involve her. "Who would think that you could act so young?" O'sin spoke to Svarth, causing the dragon, who had just been playfully attached, to feign being truly hurt. You wound me with your words, Mine, Svarth purred even as he lifted his tail to playfully lash out at Riveth's back, right thigh muscle. Take that, you pretty Crimson, Svarth purred, nearly moving, but having to stay in place with Lez sitting on his claw.
You ruin my plans of playing with the Crimson, Mine, Svarth sent to O'sin alone, causing the Onyxrider to chuckle. Thinking of fly, my pet? I was, until I remembered I had someone Rider's sitting on my claw, he stated, already lifting his head when he heard wingbeats. Green Taryshth and Her's arrive, he sent to O'sin, just in case the old man couldn't remember who the dragon was. O'sin let out another chuckle as the Greenrider walked over toward them, asking why they had to give him a reason to bring his Green to the lake. "Why to bath her, of course," he stated, actually bentering with the younger Rider. And the truth was . . . it felt a lot better, than sitting hidden away in his weyr. Greetings Taryshth. How are you and Yours this rainy day?[/blockquote]

Riveth hissed playfully, fainting hurt and jerked her claw out to gently slid them along his hide, carful not to cut him. You not hurt me silly Onxy, for i'm to quick. She liked the playful nature they were having, and couldn't help but snort when she saw that he couldn't move his paw. I have the advantage here. She stated sliding a little away just to see how far he could reach, before she was able to win.
Lez looked at the two dragons and then O'sin. "Are you sure we can sit here, Riveth has this problem of wanting to rough house a little to much." She cringed when Riveths claw shot out, for a moment she thought she was going to get hit, but Riveth pulled back just in time to miss them. I wish you wouldn't do that. You give me a heartattack every time. I will not hurt you mine. She purred eyeing Lez carfully. Mine, what would you do if i made Svarth here mine. Riveth asked closing the link between Svarth and herself for a moment. Lez's jaw dropped and she turned a deep red. She couldn't help but glance at O'sin for a moment. How many times had they gone through this same conversation about other riders, but this was the first time she asked in a manner where she sounded like she wanted a flight. I don't know.

"If any be willing . . . Mine is in a slump mood today. Would one be willing to bring their to the lake so that Mine will brighten up?"
Valexith jerked her head up when she heard the call. She looked toward the ledge wondering what the onyx was doing and what was wrong with his rider. She had never known the first born onxy to act like such and was curious to find out. "AliMine, we are going to the lake." the violet queen stated in a matter of fact way to her rider.
Ali groaned inwardly to herself. She had really not wanted to go out in the rain. She knew she could never really deny her dragon and so she got up and grabbed a dark blue cloak and put it. She drew the hood over her head care to not touch her hair and walked toward her waiting dragon who was now on the ledge. "Is there a reason you are dragging me out into the rain to go to the lake Valexith?"
The violet queen looked smug as her rider climbed onto her back. "Oh Just Svarth calling for some help with his rider and by the way And'r is there as well" the violet purred before jumpping of the ledge and gliding towards the lake. She could feel the shock radiate from hers and rumblings in mirth.
"I can't see what pleasure you get from torturing me by doing this Valexith dear." the woman asked trying to be calm about, though she knew she would not get an answer. When the purple dragoness landed she slid gracefully to the ground and walked towards the other with her queen walking proudly beside her. "Hello, O'sin, Lez, And'r" she said with her cheeks turnning slightly red as she spoke the last name. "I do hope you don't mind but Valexith has requested I help with something" her eyes were on O'sin when she had stated this.
"Hello Svarth, Taryshth, and Riveth." She purred softly to them. She had walked over and stood between Svarth and Taryshth. She nuzzled Ali gently and then faced And'r's green, cutting her bonded off for a moment. "Have your's talk to mine please Taryshth" the violet stated kindly for her rider's sake.

O'sin of Onyx Svarth "Svarth won't allow you to be harmed," O'sin stated, even as he looked up at the Onyx who seemed to be enjoying his little game with the young Crimson. Do not make me eat my words, my pretty, he warned, watching as the Onyx balked for a moment, turning a swirling orb on him, causing him to be taken up by the sight. No matter how old they got together, or how long their bond was shared, he would never get use to the beauty of having a dragon grace his mind. I would do no such thing, little Mine, the Onyx hissed playfully, before drawing himself up to where he could play with Riveth, but not uproot Her's. The Onyx started to raise his claw to strike out at Riveth, gently, of course, but before his claw rose off the ground, he caught on. Pretty . . . . tricky, Crimson, he hissed, slowly turning his body, just enough to where he didn't move his claw Lez was sitting on, and slapping out at Riveth. The end of his tail snapped just to the left of her folded right knee, but just a few inches to the right and he would have stung her. I may be older . . . but I am just as quick, he hissed, a teasing gleam in his eyes gave away his enjoyment of his game with the Crimson. She would make an excellent mate, for her mind over her beauty . . . though like all males, her body didn't hinder his descision to chase when she Rose. His attention was turned when a new dragon arrived, and Svarth informed him that young Violet Valexith and Her's were approaching. What did you do . . . send out to the entire Weyr that I was in a sad mood? O'sin questioned, as he dipped his head to the young Violetrider. Will Weyrwoman Akri be joining us next? I can call her, too, if you like? I have no objections to surrounding myself with beautiful females, the Onyx teased, turning his eye on Lunith's Violet daughter. Greetings young Violet, he crooned, though not in the way that he had when Riveth had approached. He may like to flirt from time to time, but when he set his mind, there was no changing it. Sighing, O'sin shook his head to Ali's question. "Though your company is welcomed, Violetrider Ali . . . . You will find that Crimsonrider Lez has already lifted my spirits . . . with the help of kind Greenrider And'r's help," the Onyxrider stated, sharing Svarth's thoughts on sticking to one female and not bouncing around like lower ranking Riders.[/blockquote]

Riveth hissed and fainted away in fun and crouched like a cat. Something like a rumble started from Riveth's chest and she moved her hind away from his tail. He may have age on her, but she had stamin. Pouncing away from him, she swung her tail back and forth in front of him before flicking him in the muzzle. Purring, she shook her head to get water out of her eyes as they swirled with pitty. He was stuck with thir bonds on his paw, and she wanted to play.
Lez knodded and looked at Riveth. "I wouldn't mind if we moved, might be better for these two." She felt Riveth want more room for fun and couldn't help but get to her feet, she wanted her dragon to have fun, if it helped her get a mate, then why not, but then it would also creep her out with the fact that she would be in bed with another person. She looked at And'r but he was a green rider, O'sin was a onyx rider and so far, Riveth wouldn't let Lez change her mind with settling with anything lower then a brown it seemed.
Lez covered her eyes when Ali landed with Violet Valexith. She watched as they talked and felt like she was intruding in on something when Valexith went between the green and Onyx. She smiled when O'sin thanked her while talking to Ali, though it didn't seem like it, she still took his words as a complement.

O'sin of Onyx Svarth Feeling that he should help her up, O'sin took a step toward Lez, starting to raise his hand a bit to allow her to reach out and take it, but he noticed that she had already stood, and was moving away from the two playful dragons. "Svarth is eight Turns old . . . and I don't think I've ever seen him this playful. Not even when he was dragonet," the Onyxrider stated, giving the young Crimsonrider a nod of his head in thanks. Turning his attention back to the two dragons, he couldn't hide the grin that broke out on his face as he watched Svarth's reaction to Riveth snapping her tail at his snout. Show her that an old Onyx can play with the children, he sent, grinning.
Who are you calling old . . . old man? Svarth crooned, as he lifted his claw, flexing, as if to show Riveth she had just lost the game. Yours set me free . . . Now the real fun can begin, he hissed playfully, lunging at the young Crimson, but landing just to the side of her. His wings snapped shut, so as not to hit Riveth, but he quickly turned, rising to his back claws, and resting his left, front claw on her back for just a second, before pushing off into the air, and opening his wings. Come along, little Crimson . . . If you think you can out last and old Onyx, he bugled, rising quickly into the air. With Svarth joining Riveth in their game, O'sin was suddenly shoaked, but found that he was shielded for a second. Raising his brow, and tilting his head back, he found himself looking into the orbs of his firelizard, Skip. "Trying to take Svarth's place?" he asked the little brown, having forgotten the brown had been resting on his shoulder. Glancing over at Lez, he removed the flitt from his head, setting it on Lez's. "Keep her dry, little one," he stayed, not really surprised when Skip purred and flared open his wings to shield Lez from the drizzaling rain.[/blockquote]
