Defining characteristics: He has a few scars that run down his chest from where Kobaleth claimed him on the sands. Ever since he Impressed, he has developped a swimmer's body, mostly due to the fact that Koby likes the water and insists on daily and even twice daily swims.

Personality: Very very quiet, H'lak often seems a little threatening and brooding. This, however, is a front for a generally shy young man who has a bit of a stutter and is ashamed of it so doesn't say much. He generally has faith in humanity and likes people, but he prefers to observe, rather than act. He was often overshadowed by his older siblings, so is used to being the lowest ranking person around, but it doesn't really bother him, at least not anymore.
Family: Mother Henna, healer at a minor hold. Father Lakin, beastcrafter at this same hold. Ten older siblings including one brother, the eldest, and nine sisters.
Pets: Fire lizards, blue Saku and brown Kosto
History: H'lak grew up being oppressed by his older sisters and learning his father's trade. there being eleven children always made things that much more difficult, though, and there was rarely enough of anything to go around. Still, he lacked nothing, especially not affection as he evolved in the tight-knit family.
It was a bit of a relief for everyone when he was Searched, since that meant that his parents didn't have to worry much about him finding a job and a place in life. He didn't really think he would Impress, though, and was very nervous about the whole thing, barely talking to the other candidates at all and keeping to himself, sure that he would never be part of their world past Impression.
He was proved wrong when cream Kobaleth hatched and pounced him, knocking himm over and scratching him pretty deeply in his haste to reassure his Rider that yes, he, Kobaleth had chosen him and was never, ever leaving him ever again.

Dragon personality: Kobaleth is not the sharpest tool in the shed. He does, however, have a big heart and has a hard time thinking of anyone as mean. Although he's not as flight capable as his siblings, he takes great pride in his swimming ability and has been eagerly awaiting another cream to race with and to prove that water dragons are just as good as sky dragons. He tries very hard to get along with everyone, even though sometimes he says things that are a little too blunt, to the point of being insulting.
