Da'im had been planning this feast for days and had hoped that everyone would enjoy it, even the newly made dragon riders. He watched as the cooks finished putting their masterpieces on the main table so that people could serve themselves. He had told them to keep the bubbly pies warm since he figured they wouldn't get to that for a long while. He hooked his thumbs through his belt with a bright grin on his broad face as he stood there remembering his own graduation and becoming a full fledged dragonrider. He shook his head to clear away the memories and then looked to his dragon who waited outside for him. "Morth please call all the weyrlings and any rider who wishes to join in the celebration.""Yes of course dear Da'im. Werylings, bring your riders along to the lower caverns. Riders of Black Obsidian Weyr join us if you wish." the Brown rose back on his haunches and lifted his massive head and roared with authority at the sky. "It has been done." the brown said as he landed back on the ground with all fours planted on the light brown dirt. Da'im nodded at the confirmation from his dragon and went back to looking at the kitchen to make sure that everything was in its place. He hoped that everything would go okay and without a problem. Miiiiiiiiine! We're going to be full riders, miiiiine! Heiyath proclaimed. D'lain, in his full dress uniform, stumbled down the stairs. He made a little oomphing sound as he hit something firm, smiling up at R'din's face.
"Sorry, Ri," he muttered. The tealrider ran his hands over the uniform, smoothing it and tugging at it.
"You look great, bluerider D'lain," he murmured. "Now go and graduate!"
S'rian smiled proudly as he entered the room. Seated at the table already, with a huge proud smile on her face was a green-eyed young woman with a long black braid and the uniform of a greenrider of Zenith Weyr. He gave her a nervous smile, approaching her. "I didn't think you'd come," he muttered.
"And miss my baby brother's graduation?" Amielle asked, a proud smile on her face. "Da'im and I were candidates together. I asked him to have Morth tell Cilth when I should be here." She gave him a hug. "I'm so proud of you! My baby brother, a greenrider!"
L'san fussed over the stack of bubbly pies. He had spent hours in the kitchens making as many as he can. He smiled as a thin hand stole one from the pile. "You know you're the only one who likes those klah-flavoured ones," he told H'lak. the older creamrider raised an eyebrow, munching on it happily. "Anyway, you'll ruin your supper. Stay away from these. Just go say hello and congratulations to Tara and R'im." H'lak chuckled, not deigning to reply.

Es'bel was dressed in his proper riding uniform, but with a flower stuck in the top button hole and with a belt that had tiny bells attached to it. He did a turn in front of the mirror and smiled. How do I look, Ileyvith?
Very handsome, ridermine. Now get to the feast. It wouldn't do for you to be late! Es'bel chuckled and gave the Teal an affectionate pat as he walked down the stairs. Walking into the lower caverns, he sat down at a table and waited for the festivities to begin. He was a little nervous, but mostly excited.

Lez looked at Riveth who suddenly jerked her head up from where she lay. "What is wrong dear." We have been called by Morth to feast. After a few more seconds Riveth purks up and hurriedly gets to her feet. We are to celibrate our graduation. She said pulling on Lez's shirt. "Alright, then lets hurry before all those cracks get the food first." She laughed and with hurried steps made for the lower caverns. When she came into the room, she was a little nervouse and walked to a table that had a few of her fellow riders already there. "Hi" She waved.
~~~~ R'im looked at himself in his tunic. He had gotten up early when Saryth started to fuss over him. "Do i look ok now." He asked turing to her. Of course you do Her eyes swirled colors as she turned her head this way and that. I think you should pull your hair back a little she snorted and blew air out forcing his hair to blow back. "I think it looks fine now."
Sighing, he turned a patting Saryth, he walks out of his room and starts for the lower caverns. It took him a while, and once he was down there he was so nervouse, his face had turned red. Inside he caught sight of the others and walked towards them. Once seated, he kept quite while they waited for the others.
Lifting his head from his couch, Svarth chuckled as he listened to Morth's bugle. Even O'sin's head turned. "Who was that?" the Onyxrider questioned, as he moved to the ledge of his private weyr. Brown Morth telling the dragonets and Theirs to move to their graduation ceremony. He has offered us the chance to wath, shall we? Svarth questioned, even as he started to move toward the edge of the ledge, moving up behind O'sin, towering over him, really. Of course, O'sin stated, swinging himself up onto Svarth's neck.
Once in the air, Svarth noticed Jeth and Bahneth hovering over the caverns, Theirs dismounting and moving into the lower caverns to watch the ceremony. My children, Svarth called out the Brown and Blue, catching their attention, as he lowered himself to the ground, and O'sin slipped down, sending twin puffs of dust into the air. "Brownrider V'ake . . . . Bluerider K'eld," O'sin bowed slightly to the two young men that Impressed dragons from Svarth's clutch. "It seems we shall be joined in the sky by young dragons tonight," he stated, nodding toward the entrance.
V'ake bowed low to the Onyxrider as he arrived. No matter what Akri's Violet Lunith chose, O'sin was a Weyrleader in his eyes, and demanded as much respect as Bronzerider Z'dyn, Violetrider Akri, and Brownrider Da'im. "How fares you and Yours, Onyxrider O'sin?" V'ake questioned, Bahneth nuzzling him, pushing him toward the entrance. They'll start without you, Bahneth stated, already flaring out his wings to take back to the sky. K'eld also bowed to O'sin, though, as usual, he didn't speak. I will call for you afterwards, Jeth, he sent, watching as his Blue joined his Brown brother and Onyx father in the air. "My wishes to you for your heath, Onyxrider O'sin," K'eld whispered, eyes downcast, as he turned and moved into the caverns. O'sin couldn't help but grin at the young Bluerider. He would be a fine Searchrider, once he got over his shyness around other males. Maybe he could talk to Akri about putting S'rian and his Green Forsooth, if she showed the ability to Serach, under K'eld that way he would have someone that wouldn't make him nervous. "Myself and Mine are doing well, as you and Yours are, I hope?" O'sin turned to question back on V'ake. The Brown and Onyxriders followed K'eld down into the lower cavern, where they ventured off to various tables to wait out and see the graduation of their friends.[/blockquote]
And'r and Taryshth entered the graduation. Taryshth had forced And'r to give her a complete cleaning and oiling; having him do it over and over again until she believed her scales just shone. Don't I just look wonderful mine?
yes of course you do. at least you better after all that work I had to put into it!!!
And'r couldn't help thinking to himself how much easier it would be if Taryshth was a male dragon; no obsessive cleaning and none of these problems he would face when she had her flight...
That's not nice MINE! I am not obsessive, I just like looking good! And who would want to be an icky ..... well not all of them are *she galances around admiring several of the male dragons in the room, hoping they notice her gleaming hide* .... male anyway? Maybe this would just be so much easier if you were a female? Then you wouldn't have to worry about it and you could flirt along with me! and then I could talk with you about feminine things and you would understand the importance of looking good! Taryshth ranted at And'r, tired of his almost constant worrying about what might happen when she went on her first flight.
Ok, I will admite that it would probably be easier either way as long as we were the same gender, but were not... so lets just stop thinking about that subject of what if's. ok?
Alright mine, know you see my point. I still don't see what worries you so much about sleeping with another man though. Some of the other riders seem to have no porblem at all with it. I mean just look at Ridin. Why is it so different for you?
let me put it this way would you fly or be flown by another green?
EWWWW no mine, that would just be wrong, but what does that....
now, what would you think if a blue flew or was flown by a brown?
You come up with the weridest things mine, that would never happen
but what if it did?
It would be... well just wrong. Nature didn't intend it that way!
Exactly my point!
then why meantion it if you just going to agree with me?
For me sleeping with a man is the same exact thing as the blue with the brown. do you get it now?
ohhh... I guess it makes sense now.... but unlike with the dragons humans actually do it so I still.....
just leave it. would it make it any different for you if you knew dragons that acted like that?
I guess not..
Alright anway, enough with this subject. lets get on with the graduation!
good idea mine!
((hehehe, And'r is dewling on this to much and annoying Taryshth.))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
((charm, I though that you wanted to adopt W'son?))
W'son was also there at the graduation party, off to himself though with his dragon.
well, guys were finally full riders then
That would be correct mine

Ali and Valexith
"AliMine, Morth has called us it's time for the graduation." the lavender dragon told her's loveingly. Before making sure that she herself looked alright for the male dragons that would be down there dropping thier own off.
"Alright Valexith i'm all most finished." She finished teasing her curled hair into place and looked at the image in the mirror. She had choosen a deep forst green color that fit her body just right and that was not to long that it might be torn from walking. It made her already bright red hair even more brighter to the point that it looked on fire. She met Valexith on the ledge and was help by her dragon onto the beautiful purples neck ridge.
Valexith showed off her female side as she landed and lowered her neck for her rider to get off carefully. her eyes whirling with green and blue. Before she she took off she crooned to Jeth and Bahneth to wait for her. She pushed off the ground and flew up next to them. Hello Jeth and Bahneth how are you and yours???
Ali giggled slightly before holding her head up high and walking into the caverns. her dress whispering softly as she walked with grace and poise. She went and walked over and sat down at an empty table. If they wanted her they could come to her.
Da'im and Morth
Da'im smiled as more started walking in to the cavern. He noticed that some looked slightly nervous. He went to each table and greeted the weyrlings hopeing to calm their nerves.
"Da'imMine you were nervous to on this special celebration, when we were younger." the brown stated to his rider. Morth looked up and spotted Svarth. "Hello brother, How are you and yours." he crooned to the black.
"Yes, yes of course. I rememeber all to well that day and weren't we grand looking to." da'im laughed inwardly as he walked towards the entrance to greet the onxy rider. "Hello O'sin. How are you??? Do you think i over did this alittle" the brown rider asked. His eyes showing some of his hidden emotion. "Well look it here looks like we got a queen rider who knows how to be just that." He chuckled while he watched Ali sit down at a table by herself.

S'rian did not like feeling like he was being bullies, but as the youngest of his family, he was used to it. He let Amielle drag him towards the entrance, dragging his feet a bit, a blush on his face. "He's not my bluerider," he protested quietly.
"The way Forsooth talks about his blue, yes, yes he is," Amielle told her brother cheerfully. "Hello, Da'im, it's been a long time!" she greeted the Weyrling Master. They had been candidates together, but had mostly lost touch after she had left for Hadi and finally for Zenith. "Congratulations on making Weyrling Master and doing such a good job with this lot. Especially that one." She jerked a thumb at her brother. "Difficult child, I know."
Valexith! Valexith ours have graduated! We aren't Weyrlings anymore! Forsooth called out happily, winging swiftly towards her adored sister. Oh, hello Jeth, Bahneth. She giggled a bit.
"K'eld," S'rian was blushing. he almost tried to hide behind the bluerider to escape from his overly cheerful sister. "Um, greetings, onyxrider." He ducked his head respectfully. "Hello V'ake." He hoped to distract his sister with the sheer number of people, but green eyes focused suddenly on K'eld.
"K'eld of blue Jeth, I presume," she said with an almost predatory grin. "The one he won't shut up about."

O'sin and Svarth Finding a ledge that suited him, Svarth landed, tucking his wings along his side. Once comfortable, he turned his attention to Morth, as the Brown had spoken to him. Well as can be, Brown brother. As well as I can be. What about you and Yours? the Onyx questioned in a rather happy mood. His eyes swirled with his happiness, which was saying something as it had been awhile since Rider and dragon shared those types of feelings.
Barely paying attention to Svarth as he spoke with another dragon, O'sin turned his attention from V'ake and K'eld, who had ventured off to speak with others, to Da'im. "Greetings, Da'im. The ceremony looks great . . . . Not over done at all," the Onyxrider stated, Svarth purring in agreement, though he could have cared less. The ceremony wasn't for him, thus it didn't matter, unless O'sin was enjoying himself. That was all that mattered. Vain creature. I am not . . . . I simply don't care about other humans and their doings. Only you, the Onyx stated, returning to his conversation with Morth. Shaking his head, O'sin glanced in the direction of the person Da'im was speaking about and found Ali of Violet Valexith in his sights. This brought a chuckle to his lips, as Skip came from between, eyes lighting up at the sight of the young Violetrider. Lifting his hand, O'sin placed it on the little brown's back, stopping him from flying over to the young woman to beg for more jerky. "Why shouldn't she? She and Akri are the highest ranking female Riders in the Weyr? With no Golds here to speak of, they hold the most respect as far as dragons go," O'sin stated. The idea of having no Golds bothered him. Akri was a good Weyrwoman, and Z'dyn a good Weyrleader, but they needed a Gold within the ranks. It just wasn't right. V'ake and Bahneth Bahneth's head turned as Valexith called out to him. Of course, with a young Violet flying toward him, the slightly older Brown puffed out his chest, hoping to catch the favor of the Violet. Myself and Mine are fine, thank you, beautiful Valexith, Bahneth crooned, slowly bowing his head to the young Violet. It wasn't just respect that drove the Brown to bow so deeply to the Violet, but interest in being her mate. Bahneth . . . Stop that. Valexith will Rise and a Bronze or Onyx will catch her, V'ake sent, hating that he had to dash his Brown's dreams of being Valexith's mate, but it had to be don. He couldn't take Bahneth being crushed when Valexith Rose and took another as he mate. You don't know that, Bahneth hissed. I don't . . . . but be careful. "Hi there S'rian," V'ake veered, finding himself face to face with S'rian and a female that looked similar to the Greenrider. "Congradulations on graduating!"K'eld and Jeth As kindly as he could, Jeth bowed to Valexith, though his attention was fully on Forsooth as she spoke to Valexith. Yes . . . Congradulations to you both, Jeth sent, pride beaming throughout him as he looked upon Forsooth. She had grown beautiful since her birth. She was intelligent, loyal, and trustworthy. She was a fine Green. "Congradulations S'rian," K'eld whispered, about to hold out his hand and shake the now Greenrider, but found that S'rian was trying to hide behind him. Of course, his eyes turned on the person that was chasing S'rian but found only a female standing before him. She spoke his name, looking behind him as she stated something about someone not being able to shut up about him. S'rian was the only one behind him, then he caught on. Turning back to the female, he nodded. "That would make you Amielle of Green Cilth, right?" he questioned, catching the odd look V'ake shot him before moving on to speak with the other newly graduated Riders.[/blockquote]

((no vine....not actually adopt him...just save Ancotarth's info in case I wanted to use him as a dragonet later )) Weyrlings, bring your riders to the lower caverns! Quentifith raised his head, eyes whirling excitedly. Hey, L'rien. No answer. Quentifith reached out towards His' mind. Sleepy fog shrouded it. With a draconic sigh, the now-full-grown brown tried again. L'RIENMINE! "Shards!" L'rien bolted upright, a yelp escaping him as he looked around wildly to see where the Thread was. A very clear smugness was emanating from the part of his mind that was Quentifith, and when he realized what had happened, the brown weyrling crossed his arms over his chest irritably. What was that for, Quen? he demanded. Quentifith snorted. Had to get you up somehow. L'rien mimicked his snort. Typical. Some things never change. Care to explain WHY you wanted to interrupt my nap? And he could swear that if he could see his sunning dragon right now, and if dragons could roll their eyes, Quentifith would be doing it. We're graduating today, dimglow. You're a rider! L'rien's sleepy irritation drained away at once to make way for a wave if excitement, such that he didn't even mind the dimglow crack. Yes! They were graduating! He'd be a rider today! Brownrider L'rien. Doesn't that sound good, Quen? The brown snickered. I'd rather not say. Wouldn't want you to miss the banquet while attempting to catch me. L'rien raised an eyebrow, but grinned. Fine. You win this round. Now, shut up so I can get ready. A few minutes later L'rien was dressed appropriately, in Quentifith-colored riding leathers, his blonde hair brushed neatly. Normally he didn't go much for apparences - except to impress the ladies - but, hey, today was a big occasion! AS he dressed and walked outside, vaulting up to settle on the neck of his waiting dragon, L'rien thought about all that had changed, since he'd Impressed his little devil. Obviously, Quentifith had gotten larger - a lot larger. He was a big brown, and while his hide had retained a dusting of green, it was more creamy now - like klah with too much milk in it. He'd outgrown his clumsiness, though sometimes he still seemed a bit...ungainly. But in all reality L'rien was surprised at the large, graceful - mostly - creature his bumbling little hatchling had become.As for personality....well, Quentifith still had a crazy one. He was still eager, though not quite as bouncy (Heiyath was still his favorite playmate, because they were both hyper wherry-brains), and some of his original humor had turned to sarcasm.He still liked to infuriate some people and dragons...Neboth when possible. Though he was actually turning into something of a ladies man...er, dragon...now that he was full-grown and could Chase. L'rien wondered who the brown would eventually Catch. If you're going to be sentimental, take the redfruit-light off me. How have you changed, L'rienMine? Quentifith broke in, teasingly. Shut up. But it did make the brown weyrling wonder...how had he changed? He couldn't see that he'd changed much. Well..he'd grown an inch (an inch! In the past two Turns! Apparently he was to remain tiny for life...), and his hair had grown some - he'd cut it when it had grown down to about his shoulders, so it was back to being medium-short, but he'd left most of his bangs there, so that they hung just above his eyes, with a really cool-looking raised part.But on the inside...he really wasn't any different. Was he? Am I, Quen?He recived no answer as Quentifith alighted by the entrance to the Lower Caverns, only a friendly nudge after he'd dismounted. Go on, then, Brownrider L'rien. he urged. And L'rien did, walking, then jogging from excitement, into the Graduation. He saw a lot of people already there: Da'im, of course, speaking to Onyxrider O'sin, D'lain, Es'bel, L'san and H'lak amid a stack of bubbly pies - yum! - Lez, R'im, And'r, Ali, and V'ake, K'eld, and - of course - S'rian. Late? Nah. Fashionably late, maybe - but L'rien wasn't late late. 'Course he wasn't. Grinning, he looked around at all the people who he'd spent the last two Turns living and learning with; he'd grown fond of all of them, even the annoying ones like Lez and And'r. Now they'd get to be riders together. Where to go, where to go - he settled on wandering over to D'lain to make sure the little wherry-head didn't get lost or something. Over the past couple Turns, he'd turned into as much of a D'lain-sitter as R'din, in his own way - they were friends, in a teasy-big-brother-and-annoying-little-brother kind of way. "Hey, D'lain," he greeted, feeling his brown wandering over to greet Heiyath. "Ready for riderhood?" Hey, Heiyath! Quentifith greeted his brother happily outside. Ours are riders now!

Quentifith! Ours are riders! We aren't weyrlings anymore and we can do grown dragon stuff and you can even boss Neboth around because you're bigger and badder and more important! Heiyath flew a loop around his brown brother. He was huge for a blue, positively dwarfing his rider, D'lain.
"L'rien!" D'lain glomped onto the brownrider, making an almost purring noise. "I'm ready to be a rider, I promise! I'm gonna be a great rider! Amazing rider!"

Saryth wanted company and jumped from her ledge. Today was a good day, she was happy and able, nothing wrong. Flying around, she landed on the sunning grounds in search of her cream siblings, but didn't see any. With a dragon sigh, she tucked her wings in and saw her father among them. Hello Svarth. Looking up at him, she still felt like a hatchling when it came to her size and her siblings.
R'im chuckled when he heard Saryth's thoughts. At least today she wasn't tired, not like so many other days. Watching the other boys talk and seeing all the others still coming in, he wondered if maybe he should talk with someone for good measures, but decided to rest his head on his hands. ~~~~~~ Feeling ignored, Lez grumbled. If the guys weren't going to talk, maybe Ali would talk, or maybe....looking around she didn't spot the other crimson rider and grumbled again. Getting to her feet, she walked past a few of the older riders and sat at the table with Ali. "Hey, don't think they over did it today." She looked at the things they had up for them.
Riveth winged around the sunning grounds looking at the larger males. One of them would catch her in the near futcher. Landing with gracefulness, she stepped lightly around them giving a small greeting before eyeing some of the smaller males. Each of them were startling, and she didn't want a blue, but today wasn't about her, it was about her's. Lez, will you ever pick a male or will i have too Oh no, we are not going over this again. Lez shut her out and Riveth snorted, it wasn't her fault Lez had a bad temper. Hello Svarth, how are you and yours She didn't want to inturupt, but was just wanting to greet her clutch father.

Today...today was the day, the last day of Weyrlinghood. It wasn't a secret; whispers of graduation had been circling around the Weyr like a feather held aloft by the breeze, settling on all shoulders for only a moment before being lifted into the air again, but leaving remnants of its presence everywhere it touched. Excitement filled the air, along with a tension, yes...a tension. It was the quiet before the storm, the air buzzing with the weight of the stormclouds, waiting, pressure building all the time, for the release and freshness that came when the taut atmosphere suddenly...broke. Today. It would break today.
But not yet. No, Ay'en was still waiting. But not long; it would not be long. Soon he would be a rider, a full Bluerider. How did that make him feel? Well, of course he was looking forward to it - who wasn't? All the weyrlings were looking ahead, imagining their life as a rider. They'd get full duties, full responsibilities - and the full respect and honor, as well. Ay'en was quietly hoping that Weyrwoman Akri would make him a Searchrider, like K'eld. He thought it would be a very nice thing to be, and maybe it would bring Zynsith out of his shell a bit. He thought the shy blue would probably make a very good Searchdragon, if he ever came out of his weyr.
Ay'en, that's not fair, Zynsith protested quietly. I do to come outside, or else I wouldn't be here.Ay'en smiled affectionately at him. I know you do, Zyn. I was exaggerating. But you know you're shy. So, what do you think, hm? Would you object to being a Searchdragon, if Akri allowed it? Zynsith mulled it over. Well, it would mean a lot of people would want to crowd around me, and you know I don't like that. Ay'en nodded reluctantly; of course, hold kids always wanted a closer look when a dragon came to visit, crowding and wanting to touch them, and wanting to try their luck at being Searched. He knew Zynsith would be uncomfortable with that. But we'd see a lot of the world that way, the blue continued, tilting his head to the side, considering it. We'd get to leave the Weyr and see the rest of Pern. That would be nice.
Heartened, Ay'en nodded. That's right. And if I tell the Holders to stay far enough away, they will. I'll protect you, Zyn, you know that. So, what do you think?
Ay'en got the very strong impression that if Zynsith were human, he'd be sucking his lips in while he considered, or perhaps rubbing his fingers together. As it was, the blue noly stared into space for a moment before giving a slow nod. I suppose...if Lunith's asked it of me...I wouldn't object. he finally decided. Ay'en smiled. Good.
He dipped his rag into the oil one last time to reach the last of his blue's flaking hide. They were outside, Ay'en washing and oiling his dragon - it took a considerable amount longer, now - before Graduation; he'd already cleaned and clothed himself. It would be soon, he knew, the call. It had to be; he'd seen Da'im getting ready when he'd ventured into the Dining Hall for a snack, and while he'd quickly ducked out again, he knew what that meant.
By chance, or perhaps his very thoughts had caused it, Zynsith looked up with a gleam to his eye that could only mean one thing. Let's go, Ay'en suggested, without even waiting for his blue to tell him. They flew to the entrance to the Lower Caverns, where a great deal of ragons had congregated outside. Zynsith seemed disheartened to see the crowd. Must I stay here? he asked nervously, eyes lingering on the large number of dragons there, crowding the space. He wasn't near as withdrawn as he'd been as a hatchling, but large crowds still threw him off - and most of the dragons here were bigger than him, as the diminutive blue was only slightly larger than the average green. Ay'en patted his blue reassuringly. You don't HAVE to stay here, but it's only polite to mingle. Besides, you should be having fun now. It's a happy occasion. Zynsith seemed to sigh as he alighted on the ground. It'd be more fun being down at the lake with you, Ay'en, but if you wish it, I'll stay.
With another pat and a fond wave for his Impressed, the blue weyrling had slid down and entered the Graduation. Most of the people were here already - he saw L'rien heading off to speak to D'lain just ahead of him, while other weyrlings, and some full riders, congregated in small groups to talk elsewhere. He smiled, looking around at everyone. There was happiness and excitement in the smile - but sadness, too. He realized that he didn't really want to let go of his Weyrlingness yet, not quite ready to give up that stage of his life. But it had to be done...and he'd do it proudly. But he'd treasure the memories.
Pushing away the sentimental thoughts, he wandered into the crowd, looking at the other weyrlings he'd grown so close to over the Turns. He blinked and did a double-take when he passed one particular table - and indeed, there was Es'ebl - with a flower in the top button hole of his jacket and a belt with bells on it. Ay'en found himself smiling; trust this particular tealrider to take a normal riding jacket and make it different.
Sitting down, for Es'bel was alone, he smiled at the teal weyrling. "Hello, Es'bel," he greeted, and a slight, involuntary flush spread over his face, which he couldn't understand because there was nothing at all out of the ordinary about speaking to Es'bel. "Ready to be a rider?"

"Yes, I'm Amielle. I see little brother here has mentioned me." She gave her little brother a wicked grin. "Probably not half as often as he mentions you to me, but still."
S'rian hid behind K'eld a bit more. "K'eld, she's going to do something bad to me, I just know it," he whimpered.
"Es'bel, Ay'en, I hear congratulations are in order." R'din held out two small plates with a bubbly pie for each of them. "Chocolate for you, Es'bel, special from L'san. And Ay'en, I thought you deserved something sweet, but with a little more taste than just bland chocolate." He grinned at Es'bel. "Has Neboth started giving Ileyvith lessons in how to boss you around more efficiently, yet?" He patted Ay'en's shoulder, his hands lingering a little longer than they should. "You're lucky to have a blue, and a quiet one at that."
"C-con--congratulations," H'lak stammered, placing a plate with a piping hot bubbly pie in front of him. "D--dessert b-before supper, for one--once." He sat down. "How's S-Sayrth? K-k--Koby worries."

R'im looked up from where he was and smiled. H'lak had come to talk huh. "She is better today, but like Kobaleth, i still worry that something will go wrong." He couldn't help but feel worried all the time. Any minute she could drop like a stone and be unable to get up. "Thanks for the pie." He eyed if for a moment before taking a few bites, though he was in no rush with what all was going on.
