She all but jumped out of her skin when the little green flit came into the hall. She'd been told that there were flitts, so she didn't expect this. "Well, its nice to meet the both of you." She watched him pet the green and turned to the other boy. He'd been quite for a while now.

Relte turned back to Sonia. "The name is Relte. I'll go get that food for her now." Relte walked down the hall to the kitchens. As he did he thought about the hatching. He both hoped Arel impressed and didn't. He wanted her to impress because it would make her happy. He also didn't want her to because of all the trouble she would get into if she had a dragon. Relte shook his head to rid of the thoughts. What am I thinking, she should impress. I'm sure she wont do anything bad or get into trouble.......I hope. Relte walked into the kitchens and asked one of the cooks for a bowl of meat scraps. He walked back to where the others were with the bowl of scraps.

Jesslaw hide a smile under his bangs as he saw her reaction. "Would you like to pet her?" He asked kindly. In the depths of his brown eyes glimmered the glee and pride he felt over his firelizard. He tilted he head when a thought struck him. "Do you think your dog would let me look at the pups?" His eyes now were full of hope, like a boy waiting to get sweets.

she glanced at the little green flitt when Relte left for the food. "If she doesn't mind." She had always wanted to see just what a flitt was like. She'd only ever touched a dog or runner, sometimes she pet other creatures in the caravan she used to live with.
When he asked about the pups she looked a little sad. "Well, i don't think she would, not for a while. This is her first litter, so i imagine she will hide them until they open there eyes, at least from others." She smiled at him. "I'll get a look at them though. She would trust me enough to at least let me get a look at them." She looked down into the hole and saw Josi watching her. No sign of threat or bared teeth as she drew her hand along her head. With as much ease as she could, she first lifted one pup then another, making sure to have them in sight of Josi at all times. "Well, it seems there are four girls and four boys." She chuckled. "It looks like they are evenly matched." She picked up the runt and all but laughed when the pup seemed to settle in the crook of her arm. Josi a little nervouse by now, was watching them with interest. "This one is the runt." She stroked the pup before setting it back down next to the rest.
On her feet, she looked at the hole once more and grinned. "Well, i think after the food, she would probably like to be left alone." She was sure Josi would only eat then sleep but keep her ears open for danger. "I Fear for tunnel snakes though." she said out loud to herself.

"If she doesn't mind."
Jesslaw smiled at her words and took Tack off his shoulder gently and held his hand out for her to perch on. "She doesn't mind actually she loves it." He replied.
"Well, i don't think she would, not for a while. This is her first litter, so i imagine she will hide them until they open there eyes, at least from others."
"Oh" he said slightly dishearted. "Do you know when they open their eyes?" He continued to watch her keeping his hand out steadily for her to pet his green firelizard.
"Well, I think after the food, she would probably like to be left alone."
Jesslaw noded his understanding as he noted the look she showed her pet. It was one he often showed to tack or so people told him.
"I Fear for tunnel snakes though." she said outloud.
He had caught it and then came up with a brilliant idea. "Firelizards are ideal for that work would you like it if Tack watched over them?" He asked with the sudden urge to want to help the girl out and the dog to the best of his ability.

"She doesn't mind actually she loves it."
She reached out and started to stroke the little green fireliziard. She felt the hide and was a little surprised that the firelizard felt almost soft. She smiled thinking about this and looked up when Jesslaw asked.
"Oh" he said slightly dishearted. "Do you know when they open their eyes?"
"They won't open there eyes until almost three weeks if i remember." she thought for a moment and wondered when Josi herself had opened her eyes. "It all depends on when they want to see the world." She said trying to make something of a joke.
Firelizards are ideal for that work would you like it if Tack watched over them?"
"Would she. i mean, if its no trouble at all. I just don't want her to be attacked and loose one of the pups to a tunnel snake. Sneaky things, Josi lost siblings when she was younge because of those darn pests." she said a little angrily. She didn't like the fact that tunnel snakes seemed to like attacking things that were in the way, and even killing them.

Relte walked back into the room with the bowl of meat scraps. He held it out Sonia with a thoughtful look on his face. "Here's the meat." He had heard some strange things on the way back from the kitchen. "I heard that three of the candidates impressed at the hatching, though something strange happened." Relte thought about what the people had said. They had said something way wrong with the hatchlings, that they weren't natural.

Sonia looked first at Relte then Jesslaw. She had seen first hand what had happened on the sands. She didn't quite know what to say to the man, he would most likely be upset and maybe even quick to recoil from the thought. "Yeah, i'd heard about that." She didn't let them on, but instead took the meat and laid it down in front of the hole, in sight of everyone but where she was in the door and could easily get back to her pups.
