Be ready guys, the plot will begin soon!
Pink Lovely has Chosen!!!
Lady Lyn's, of Delesia Hold, pink firelizard, Lovely, has Risen and been caught. She chose Onyxrider O'sin's brown Skip as her mate. Time will only tell if their mating will produce a clutch. Here's to the possiblity of Lovely clutching and her eggs hatching!!!
Emberyth's Clutch had Hatched!!
Five eggs have been lain by Ash Emeryth. One egg was a still born, one never Impressed, but that leaves three new dragons in Black Obsidian Weyr. Please welcome Burena of Sapphire Chaieth, Arel of Topaz Kendrith, and E'ken of Emerald Olevarth. With these three new dragonets in the Weyr, Weyrwoman Akri and Weyrleader Z'dyn will have to work hard at what to do with them.

Overview
In the past, Black Obsidian Weyr had a Queen and she was Gold Zenith, with Mardian as her Rider. With her Bronze by her side, Zenith clutched Gold Wrath, a strangely hued Gold that was Impressed by Lucielle, now Luci. When Wrath showed signs of starting to Rise, Zenith tried to stop Wrath's Rise, not wanting another Gold's clutch on the sands with hers. By the end of it, Zenith won, and Wrath went between, taking Luci with her. All of Black Obsidian Weyr thought the worse was behind them. Zenith clutched, and shortly afterward, Gold Cometh Impress Kasdi.
Turns passed. Weyrfolk moved from Black Obsidian Weyr to Hadi, then back to Black Obsidian after Zenith's death. Wrath and Luci were forgotten. Now Black Obsidian Weyr is still Queen-less, but there are two Violets that guard the dragons of the Weyr. Yet, on the horizon, dragons. And when a strange looking Gold lands in the Bowl of Black Obsidian Weyr, could there be something afoot?

Past Documents Here are all the things that have been used to their fullest. Now unable to be used anymore, they have been locked and moved here. Moderator: Obsidian
Advertisments (3 sub-boards) Those who wish to place their ads on BOW, then, by all means, please do. Just be sure your board is Guest Friendly, cause we will check.
The Bowl The general layout of the Bowl is that of a crater that was caused by something extremely large that crashed into Pern a long time ago.
To the northern end of the Bowl, where the Lower Cavern entrance is, is a lake that bubbles up from an underground stream. The lake branches off and flows throughout the Bowl in little streams. At the deeper parts of the streams are bridges for people to cross without the threat of getting themselves soaked.
To the west, there are grazing grounds for stable animals and fields in which they can graze.
Trees dot the whole Bowl, while grass covers the entire Bowl floor apart from where there is water. Moderator: Obsidian
Feeding Grounds Within the Bowl, but sectioned off from the real pasture areas and orchards, the feeding grounds are home to those animals that are the dragons' favorites. Just don't let your dragon gorge. Moderator: Obsidian
Lake This is not the same lake that is within the Bowl, for this one is actually big enough for humans and dragons alike to swim in. The water's crystal clear and if you focus hard enough, you can see the smooth rock covered bottom. Moderator: Obsidian
Private Weyrs (16 sub-boards) Scattered along the wall of the cliff that stand around the Black Obsidian Weyr, are the private weyrs of the dragonriders. With the exception of the Queen's Weyr, everyone else will need a dragon. Moderator: Obsidian
Hatching Sands Seemingly carved out of the cliff that protects BOW, and filled with steaming hot sands from all other Weyrs, are the Hatching Sands. Bleachers have been set up around the cliff wall, with ledges formed for dragonriders to watch from, while the weyrfolk sit on the bleachers.
Candidates enter from the North entrance, while the weyrfolk enter from the West, taking them right to the bleachers, while the Candidates walk right to the eggs and Queen. Moderator: Obsidian
Candidate and Weyrling Barracks (2 sub-boards) For those who have just been Searched, or just Impressed, these barracks will be your new home for awhile.
There is only one entrance, between the Hatching Sands and the Queen's Weyr, but there is a split, with the Candidate's barracks to the right and the Weyrling's to the left. Moderator: Obsidian
Outside the Weyr (2 sub-boards) Through a tunnel in the cliff, there is what seems like a whole other small world. Green pastures, an orchard, and fields stretch out just long enough to let the weyranimals run and stretch their legs.
Further out and over behind the Weyr, there is a cove with black sanded beaches and crystal blue water from the ocean that separates Black Obsidian Weyr from Hadi Weyr. Moderator: Obsidian
The Skies Normally filled with white fluffy clouds and and endless blue, the skies are the best place for dragons of all ages, with Flight Lessons, to stretch their wings. Feel free to enjoy yourself here. Moderator: Obsidian
Private Boards For those role players that want to play out their more private matters, or just for those people who are a bit shy about their role play. Moderator: Obsidian

Delesia Hold
Hold Hall The Hold's hall is a long large room filled with banners and a very large table to accommodate large quantities of people for Gathers. The head of the table is on the south side and is where the Lady of the Hold sits to eat with guests. Red velvet covers the Lady's chair's back and armrests. The chairs are beautifully crafted from wood and have cushions on the seats for comfort. The hall is usually warmed by the hearth on the northern side of the hall's walls. The north wall is covered mostly with large windows. Moderator: Obsidian

Infirmary There are two rooms that can accommodate 20 people in each. There's a small room in the back that holds supplies of items necessary for taking care of the wounded or ill. There is a larger room in the back that holds medicine and herbs that are gathered during the whole Turn and stored there for later use. An office can be found adjacent to the small supply room. In the office, you can find a master healer or a journeyman or woman who lives there. Moderator: Obsidian

Kitchens The Kitchens are in a large cavern with built in stoves on the farthest side from the hall. There are two long tables put together for cutting and preparing meats and herbs. There are two great hearths that keep most of the lower hold warm in the winter, placed closest to the exit that leads to the great hall of the Hold. Herbs are placed in storage leading down and away from the kitchens and stay there until the need arises for them to be brought back up. The head cook stays in a room off the kitchen with several other workers. Moderator: Obsidian

Upper Courtyard The courtyard is mostly clear of green grass, most Turns. During gathers, tables and tents can be seen all around on it. The smell of delicious food cooking sometimes wafts up from the kitchens or the Hold's dining hall. There is enough room for dragons to land when the place is not packed. In the middle of the upper courtyard is the dancing square. Moderator: Obsidian

Dancing Square A place where people come to dance to forget. Or they come here to remember. The dancing square is a fourth of the upper courtyard's size. There's a small stage set near it for the harpers to play music and sing. The square is made up of nicely packed dirt from Turns of wear. Moderator: Obsidian

RunnerBeast Stables These stables hold up to 400 runnerbeasts. There are four pastures next to it; one for pregnant runnerbeasts, one for the young babies that are taken from their mothers, one for mares and the other for the studs. Moderator: Obsidian

Herdbeast Stables The stables hold up to 600 herdbeasts. Usually only 200 to 300 herdbeast actually occupy stalls, though. There are four pastures like there are for the runnerbeast stables. They have the same uses as well. Moderator: Obsidian

Delesia Fields Most of the fields are used for planting crops. The other fields are used to contain runners and herdbeasts alike. The crops on the land are mostly grapes and fruit for wine or grains for breads and such. There are winter pastures for the animals deep within the hills. The summer pastures are near Talisk Lake. Talisk Lake A beautiful, shimmering lake that is warm all year long since there's a hot spring that feeds into it. On the edges of the lake there is soft sand that goes about 2 feet out before turning into dirt and grass. It's deep enough to allow a full grown brown to bathe. Moderator: Obsidian

Sunset Weyr
Skies High above the mountain chain that is called home by Gold Wrath and her clutches and their Riders, the skies are vast and open. Flights or simple joy rides can be taken about. Moderator: Obsidian

Ledges As if formed for a dragon, by a dragon, these ledges peek from random places all along the side of the mountain. Used as private weyrs, the Wrath Cursed dragons are well housed, even if their Riders don't have fancy stuff. Moderator: Obsidian
Weyr Bowl Set right below the ledges, and stretching out to the other side of the mountain chain is the Weyr Bowl. Within it are the feeding grounds and herdbeast pins. Moderator: Obsidian
Lake Flowing from the mountain caps, down the mountain, and streaming along, finally forming a pool below. Wrath's Rider found this lake, not bothering to name it, as she knew she would be returning to Black Obsidian Weyr before long. With her Gold's help, the lake was cleared of the surrounding trees so they could reach it. Now it is used by all of Wrath's children. Moderator: Obsidian
